WA’s largest display village starts construction at Shorehaven
More than 20 builders have started work to create what will be Western Australia’s largest home display centre at Peet Limited’s Shorehaven community at Alkimos in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Inspired by the sweeping ocean views and undulating coastal environment of Shorehaven, located around nine kilometers north of Mindarie, the display village centre will offer WA’s latest and largest selection of modern homes from the State’s leading home builders.
The display centre will be spread across three precincts at Shorehaven – Coast, Rise and Central – with a total of 50 homes to eventually make up the collective display village centre.
The new homes in the first two display villages in Rise and Central precincts will open around mid-2011, with the spectacular Ocean View Display Village to follow toward the end of the year.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said the diversity of homes within Shorehaven’s Display Villages would provide a “one stop shop” for any homebuyer planning to build a new home in Perth.
“The Shorehaven Display Villages will feature the very latest building designs and products, with a range of both single and double storey options on display to suit the range of homesites currently on offer in Perth,” Mr Gore said.
“Over the past few years we’ve seen homebuyers demanding an increasing variety in land and home products to suit their individual needs and lifestyles and Peet will be pleased to provide this diversity at Shorehaven.”
The Oceanview Display Village, located in the prestigious Shorehaven Coast precinct, will feature 10 contemporary home designs that complement the beachside outlook of the area, with most being two storeys to maximise the direct ocean views.
Among the builders on show will be APG Homes, Broadway, Lifestyle, Lorimer, Perceptions, Rossmond Homes, Trendsetter, WBN and Wilson & Hart.
A further 20 homes will be featured on the affordable, elevated lots at Shorehaven Rise – many of which also offer ocean vistas.
A mix of single and double storey homes are currently under construction in a range of different styles. Among the homes that will be on display are family-focused designs, including such features as generous separate games and living spaces, multiple outdoor living areas and parents’ retreats.
Nineteen builders will be part of the Shorehaven Rise Display Village, including Collier Homes, Content Living, Easy Living, Dale Alcock Homes, Gemmill Homes, Highbury, Ideal Homes, Kerdels, Metro Style, National Homes, Pindan, Plunkett Homes, Ross North Homes, Red Ink Homes, Summitt Homes, Scott Park Homes, Trendsetter, Ventura and WBN, which is constructing two display homes.
In Peet’s Shorehaven Central precinct, which offers homebuyers affordably priced homesites with plenty of choice in lot sizes, many of the 20 new display homes are already currently under construction.
The designs range from traditional four-bed, two-bath homes to more compact designs that suit lots with smaller frontages. Many focus on sustainable living, offering a climate-responsive design, compact garden spaces and a range of environmentally friendly features and fixtures.
Builders in the Central Display Village include Affordable Living, Aussie Living, Aveling Homes, Blueprint Homes, Celebration, Commodore Homes, Dreamstart, Homebuyers Centre, Impressions, Gemmill Homes, Gen1 Homes, Goodlife, MyGen Homes, NewGen, New Choice, Prima Vera, Red Ink Homes, Scott Park Homes, WA Housing Centre and WOW Homes.
Mr Gore said the Company expected a positive response from homebuyers to the Shorehaven Display Villages when they began to open around the middle of the year, especially given more than 350 homesites had been purchased at Shorehaven since sales began in late 2009.
“With thousands of people expected to move to this northern coastal area over the coming years, and comprehensive plans in place for a new Coastal Village and Foreshore Park area at the estate, Peet expects Shorehaven will be a focal point of the area,” Mr Gore said.
